Well, the Celine show is next week. Amidst all that is happening in London, new jobs, new boyfriends, seeing friends and spending endless hours on London buses the piece is still as unknown as ever. It is evolving - and it is becoming clearer and clearer that the most fun and interesting way to make this dance is not in the studio. It seems the answer to maintaining sanity and and retaining the fun is by being in people's houses. A bit like working in a home office.
Like friends being bridges over troubled water love songs are keeping us afloat. They are our company in these troubled warm, not cold, polluted times. It seems strange that the most commercial and corporately propped up things are salvation indeed. Like we can't live without petrol and vehicles - we can't live without love songs. We can't live without Celine Dion, Prince, Simon & Garfunkel, Prince, Motorace, 1927, Lamb, Otis Reading, Eskimo Joe, Elvis Presley, Martha Tilston, Led Zeppelin covered by The Grateful Dead, Augiemarch and Kylie & Jason.
